The Story

Hi!

We are Leslie and Ashley and this blog will document our journey of transforming our houses into homes!
Growing up we did not have tons of toys but we had each other and we had great imaginations. The two of us along with our youngest sister dreamed up games and used various resources to create new worlds and kept ourselves entertained for hours. Being girls we would regularly play some sort of house game. We would make up kitchens and such using things we would find around the house and yard. That was the idea behind the name. We use the same creativity and imaginations to decorate our homes today. We have tight budgets just as many of you do and without the creativity and the ability to be DIYers our homes would be pretty plain and dull. 

Ashley's Story- Ashley and her husband Brandan moved all the way back to Alabama from Colorado to be with their family. She is excited for new beginnings for her family of six. She has four beautiful children- Landon (age 8), Jadyn (age 4), Talon (age 2), and Jameson (age 7 months). She has taken on the challenge of updating the 70s style Rancher and making it her own. She is a big fan of animal print so it will be neat to see where that plays into her designs!

Leslie's Story- Leslie and her partner Andrew are starting a new journey together by buying a new home for the both of them along with her two children- Aideen (age 8) and Rowan (age 6). This step is to let go of things of the past and to look forward to new and better things. The home is a newer built house on farm acreage. She had decided to take that farm appeal and bring it in doors in what she hopes to be a sophisticated way.
